About PeptideSearch
PeptideSearch is an evidence-based peptide research database covering clinical trials, dosage, side effects, FDA status, and sourcing for the most-researched peptides in medicine and performance science.
Our Mission
The peptide space suffers from two extremes: marketing copy dressed up as science, and academic papers that are inaccessible to anyone without a PhD. PeptideSearch exists in the middle — synthesizing what peer-reviewed research actually shows, in language that helps people make informed decisions.
We cover both pharmaceutical-track peptides (like retatrutide, tirzepatide, and semaglutide going through FDA approval) and research chemicals (like BPC-157 and Ipamorelin) — but we treat them differently. We report what the evidence shows, what it doesn't, and what questions remain unanswered.
Editorial Methodology
Factual claims are sourced from peer-reviewed publications (primarily NEJM, JAMA, The Lancet), ClinicalTrials.gov records, and FDA documents. We do not rely on secondary reporting, press releases, or vendor marketing materials as sources.
We distinguish between Phase 3 RCT data (high confidence), animal studies (limited human applicability), and anecdotal reports (low confidence). Pages explicitly state the evidence level for key claims.
FDA approval status, trial enrollment status, and legal classifications are reviewed and updated regularly. We note when content was last reviewed and flag sections with rapidly changing information.
When factual errors are identified, we correct them and note the correction at the bottom of the relevant page. We do not silently edit published content.
Medical Review Process
PeptideSearch content undergoes consultative review by medical advisors with expertise in endocrinology, metabolic medicine, and sports medicine. Our review process focuses on:
- •Accuracy of mechanism of action descriptions
- •Appropriate representation of clinical trial outcomes
- •Correct characterization of side effect frequency and severity
- •Accurate legal and regulatory status information
- •Appropriate context for research chemicals vs approved pharmaceuticals
